The Redwood Free Market is dedicated to decreasing basic needs insecurity by providing free access to healthy food and connecting students to campus and community resources. 

Location & Hours

• Location: Rachel Carson College Cafe (College Eight Cafe)
• Hours: Mondays 2-5PM, Tuesdays to Thursdays 9 AM-1 PM and 2-5 PM, Fridays 9 AM-12 PM, Wednesdays 2-5 PM (Graduate Students Only)

What We Offer

• Produce, dry goods, and CalFresh application assistance

How does it work?

• Create a PantrySoft Account before your first visit!
  • Bring your bag and ID during the hours shown above
  • Sign-In at Entrance
  • Shop for your items. Our staff will limit traffic inside the pantry to ensure everyone has ample time.
  • Bag your items outside and leave your basket for us to sanitize

• Diaper Assistance Program (DAP)
  • Emergency diaper relief program for UCSC parenting students with children currently in diapers
    
• Weekly Meal Kits
  • Kits include recipes and all ingredients necessary to make a fresh and easy meal!
  • Winter quarter updates will be posted soon
